Ageing skin loses volume and dehydrates, making it look dull and flat, intraceuticals helps hydrate the skin by providing water into the dermis. Hyaluronate stores water. It is infused into the skin using the hyperbaric oxygen. This will re-hydrate the epidermis and dermis and make the skin look healthy and glowing.
There are 3 different types of intraceuticals:
- Rejuvenate treatment: Done either by itself or with Atoxelene. Rejuvenate serum contains hyaluronate, Vitamins A, C and E, green tea, aloe vera. It is very soothing and revives the skin by deep hydration. The Atoxelene is used as an adjuvant to either the Rejuvenate or Opulence serum.
- Atoxelene: Likened to “Botox” and works in a mild form on wrinkles and fine lines especially around the mouth, eyes and glabellar, due to its properties with acetyl octapeptide 3. It also contains hyaluronate and Vitamins A, C and E. Atoxelene comes both as a serum and also a line wand which is used at home to apply the Atoxelene direct to fine lines.
- Opulence: For patients who have more pigmented skin or patches of pigmentation that they want to be lightened. It is an alternative to hydroquinone and contains an anti-tyrosine to reduce pigmentation. It contains hyaluronate, Vitamins A,C and E and its special lightening ingredients alpha arbutin and yellow dock. Similar to the Rejuvenate intraceuticals, the Opulence range is used with Atoxelene if there are wrinkles and fine lines. There is also an Opulence wand for spot use on pigmented areas such as melasmas.
As no needles or injections are involved in the treatment, intraceuticals is being hailed as a pleasant alternative for those who might be reluctant to try Botox or fillers.
Each person is assessed first by a certified intraceuticals therapist and discuss which type of intraceuticals is best, Rejuvenate or Opulence, without or with Atoxelene. The best results are when the patient is using the 3 step layering technique maintenance serum, gel and binding cream every day.
The treatment is like a very nice luxury spa facial with added benefit. Each treatment begins with a thorough cleansing to prepare the skin for the infusion. A fine mist of the specially selected serum is then sprayed on to the area to be treated – the face, hands or chest. Due to the tiny precision tip used to administer the pressurised oxygen, it is also possible to treat the area extremely close to the eyes. Finally, a moisture binding cream is applied to seal in the moisture.
Intraceuticals provides the skin with a more fresh glow. All the intraceutical oxygen enriched cocktail of ingredients include vitamins and antioxidants. In addition there are three specific courses – Rejuvenation, Opulence and Atoxelene – each specially formulated to address the most common skin problems: wrinkles, hyperpigmentation and sun damage as well as blemishes.
It is especially useful to have a treatment a day or two before a big event, whether it be a wedding, film premier, first date, anniversary, interview, Christmas event etc.
